Company: Mole Buster (TM Mole Control Co.)

Role: At Valcraft Printing and Packaging, I led the transition of the Mole Buster product’s packaging from blister packaging to a more compact paperboard design. This change was driven by the client’s need for Amazon-friendly shipping and a streamlined process for removing the plastic component. I maintained the same color combination used in previous designs to ensure brand recognition for returning customers, while incorporating cuter graphic elements to make the packaging stand out more.

In addition to graphic design, my responsibilities included:

  • Refining the Mole Buster logo to ensure it stood out more compared to the old packaging while maintaining brand recognition.

  • Developing and refining structural design to ensure the packaging was both functional and cost-effective.

  • Designing clear and concise instructional diagrams for easier product use.

  • Collaborating with the production team to ensure the new packaging met production standards and specifications.

  • Ensuring the final design adhered to environmental and shipping regulations while maximizing space efficiency for Amazon’s packaging guidelines.

  • Conducting quality checks to ensure the printed and structural designs met client expectations before final production.

This comprehensive approach allowed me to successfully deliver a design that was both visually appealing and practical for the product’s new distribution method.
